Notes

"Los Novintos" are Tony Nova and Francisco Pinto. They love and feel Latin American music. Tony and Francisco appeared on many club stages but, for five nights a week in the late 1960's, they were resident at Thatchers Restaurant in the heart of the Surrey countryside in the UK. This was very apt, as I personally was part owner of that restaurant. On the face of things, it would seem the most unlikely place to hear Latin American music, but there is a well known saying in Show Business: "The proof of the appeal is in the attendance", and by the audiences they attracted every evening, their music was certainly appealing. I am sure you will agree with this statement when you listen to the pulsating rhythms, the lilting melodies of the Caribbean, as sung and played by "Los Novintos".
